Eat Fat Lose Fat - Why Low Fat Diets Don't Work
Eat Fat Lose Fat? Believe it or not, NOT doing this may be one of the
major reasons you may be staying fat. There is a HUGE misconception that low-fat or
no-fat diets help you stay slim and lose weight.
Studies have shown that restricted calorie and low fat diets slow your metabolism to a screeching halt.
A slow metabolism and fat burning dont mix!
Losing fat is about increasing metabolism... not slowing it down by restricting calories...
The only long term eating plan that effectively burns fat without actually feeling like your on a diet is the fat burning diet solution ( see the video ).
WHY?
Your body, when "deprived" of fat and calories, is programmed biologically to adapt by kicking into "famine" mode and will instinctively "hold on to every fat cell it can" to survive. It does this in anticipation of needing an energy source, and fat is your bodies "last resort" as an energy source. The end result of low fat diet then is you really don't lose any fat.
The truth is you don't need a complex diet made up of multiple phases, with certain days to "only eat proteins or carbs" etc… How can you keep up with all that?? You start with good intentions but I'm sorry were just not programmed to count calories or eat that way. SIMPLIFY!
Know that calorie counting, restricted calorie, no fat or no carb diets are NOT realistic at all. That’s why people quit.
Fat Burn Basics
- Pure carbohydrate and sugar makes you store fat. PERIOD.
- Calorie consumption is not a major factor in gaining fat : "Quantity of diet may be safely left to the natural appetite. It is quality only which is essential to abate and cure corpulence." by Richard MacKarness, M.B., B.S (1958). Basically eating a good mix of lean protein, fat and complex carbohydrate will allow you to avoid counting calories all together.
- Controlling appetite is highly related to stable blood sugar levels.
- Controlling blood sugar levels is highly related to controlling insulin.
- When we eat sugar and simple carbs our blood sugar skyrockets; sensing this our body produces insulin which cause a large drop in blood sugar, at the same time it sends a signal for our body to STORE FAT.
- Eliminate sugar and simple carbs and you control insulin and control appetite PLUS you avoid storing fat, instead you burn fat as it is the only available energy source.
- Diets like no fat or restricted calorie DECREASE metabolism, cause you to lose muscle mass and actually store fat.
- To burn fat you want to keep your metabolism stoked...
- You'll be amazed at how much you can actually eat when you cut out the bad carbs and sugar, as much as 150% of the normal caloric intake is not uncommon while still losing weight.
- Eating carbs is essential but they must be complex carbs, these release glucose much more slowly into your system without spiking blood sugar. Remember losing fat is all about balancing lean protein, good fats and complex carbs as well as eliminating bad carbs and sugar. .
- An effective fat burn diet can burn off as much as 5-7 pounds in one week, that is typical.
Eat Good Fats and Eliminate Bad Carbs
So... the perfect balance for fat burning is to FIRST, eliminate all simple carbs and sugar, totally. This
will keep your blood sugar from spiking up and down which directly effects your appetite and cravings.
Eliminating these bad carbs and sugar forces your body to rely on fat stores for its primary energy source.
Good Fats Curb Appetite
Once you eliminate all the sugar and bad carbs, it's important to eat plenty of lean proteins like chicken breast, lean red meats , good fats like olive oil, avocado, seafoods rich in omega 3, and plenty of complex carbs.
These foods will keep your blood sugar stable which is CRITICAL for appetite control.
These foods naturally keep your blood sugar stable - because you're using fats and complex carbs as an energy source which convert to energy much more slowly into your system
An excellent program like the Diet Solution Program shows you step-by-step how to choose foods to lose maximum amounts of fat, without feeling like your "dieting" at all.
Fats and Health
So just look at other cultures, like the Eskimos as they are great example of a healthy "eat fat lose fat" culture. All they eat is "Fat" from blubber and fish. They have the one of lowest rates of heart disease in the world! It goes completely against what food advertisers tell us!
So if your struggling to lose weight you should simplify things and really learn about how the fat burn diet can change your life.
